  • From the Start menu, choose Control Panel. (Oprima al menu Start y escoga Control Panel.)

  • Click the Network and Internet Connections icon. (Oprima la opción Network and Internet Connections.)

  • Click the Set up or change your Internet connection icon. (Oprima la opción Set up or change your Internet connection.)

  • Click the Setup button. (Escoga el botón Setup.)

  • Click the Next button. (Al salir la ventana Welcome to the New Connection Wizard, oprima el botón Next.)

  • Select Connect to the Internet. (Escoga la opción Connect to the Internet.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • Select Set up my connection manually. (Escoga la opción Set up my connection manually.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next)

  • Select Connect using a dial-up modem. (Escoga la opción Connect using a dial-up modem.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • In the ISP Name field, type a name to identify your connection (ie. SOFTCOM). (Bajo ISP Name, tecle SOFTCOM.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • In the Phone number field, type your local access number exactly as it needs to be dialed. (Phone number, tecle el número telefónica asignado para su ciudad.)

    Note: If you require 10-digit dialing in order to access a local number, make sure to include your area code.

  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • In the User name field, type your email address. (En el espacio demarcado Username, tecle su nombre de usuario en letras minúsculas. )
  • In the Password field, type your password. (En el espacio demarcado Password, tecle su clave.)
  • In the Confirm password field, type your password. (En el espacio demarcado Confirm Password, tecle su clave de nuevo.)
  • Uncheck the box next to Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer. (Quíte la flecha de la opción Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer)
  • Uncheck the box next to Make this the default Internet connection. (Quíte la flecha de la opción Make this the default Internet connection.)
  • Uncheck the box next to Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection. (Quíte la flecha de la opción Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection.)
  • Click the Next button. (Oprima el botón Next.)

  • Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop if you wish to have a shortcut to the connection on your desktop. (En ésta ventana, escoga la opción Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop.)
  • Click the Finish button. (Oprima el botón Finish.)
